Welcome to the Research Computing Support Group at UTSA!

The Research Computing Support Group at UTSA provides computing, storage and visualization resources to support research that has specialized or highly intensive computation, storage, bandwidth or graphics requirements. Typical applications include statistics, data analysis, molecular modeling, scientific and engineering simulation and visualization. Research Computing resources and services are widely used by faculty and student researchers alike. Please contact us for any additional information at RCSG@utsa.edu. Shamu Fair Use Policy AND Slurm - New Job Scheduling System

System Notes
  • $HOME directory - /home-new/abc123 - This directory is entirely controlled by you and the default permissions are that nobody else can see or access your files. It is backed up nightly and one week of backups are kept.
  • Work directory - /work/abc123 - This directory is where you should place any input/output files, project data, etc... This directory is NOT backed up.
